About this event

Welcome to the Coaching Cabinet!

The Cabinet is a dedicated monthly peer support group for the wider Talking about Coaching community (this includes members and visitors of the Coaching Lab, listeners of the Talking about Coaching Podcast and Talking about Coaching & Psychedelics Podcast, members of the Facebook group, and any life, business, transformational or other kind of coach who enjoys talking about coaching and keen to connect with colleagues).

Our aim is to come together as peers and help each other out across three different domains:

  • Business - support with establishing, maintaining or growing your coaching business, signing up clients, niching, selling, marketing, etc
  • Practice - how to practice coaching, sharing different coaching skills and techniques, peer supervision or sharing stories from our coaching practice
  • Self - support with personal challenges or development goals that you may have as a coach, growing as a person to grow as a practitioner.

Every 3rd Tuesday of the month we'll get together in three breakout rooms via Zoom to create movement and value for each other, share our knowledge and experience, offer coaching-style questions and/or accountability, as well as peer supervision.

Each room will be facilitated by an experienced coach and supervisor who will hold the space for the group and help you create value for each other, based on a series of themes that have been chosen by the group to be most relevant/helpful in each domain.

The format of each room will usually follow a "spotlight" model, in which one member of the group will be invited to share a current challenge or goal they're having, with the rest of the group dedicated to helping them out through offering questions, observations or sharing their own knowledge and experience on the topic. Depending on the complexity of the issue, we'll have time for 2-3 rounds during each get together.

While you'll get the most from the Coaching Cabinet the more regularly you'll attend, these are drop-in sessions, and so you can join different groups at different times or just stick your head in when you're looking for some support with a current issue you're facing.

And yes, these sessions are completely free to give something back to the community of coaches that we feel so at home in. If you want to do a kind thing, feel free to make a donation. We'll invest it back into community services.

That's it. We look forward to seeing you there :)

In the meantime, be well!

Sid Hamid:

Since 2009, life has taken Sid on a journey of coaching a wonderful diversity of neurocosmopolitan and neurodiverse people to improve their self-awareness and emotional intelligence across life. Having considerable ‘success’ with his mastery and material achievements then, Sid also found the courage to transform his trauma, overcome his mental health challenges and is on a new journey to come into a deeper connection with himself authentically, relating with others and the world with more aliveness, creativity and compassion. As a result, Sid now embodies a “whole self, whole systems” approach in his coaching and draws upon the wisdom into what sustains and limits flow in different streams of systemic consciousness i.e. own inner relationship with different parts of ourselves, the relationships we have with others in groups, teams & then our sense of belonging in family, organizational, societal and global systems.
